The Sensory

breakthrough

Finding out the sensory needs and sensitivities of your child(ren) can unlock the mysteries behind what make them thrive and what makes them meltdown.

When you know your child's needs and their triggers,  then it's easier to prevent  burnout and know the areas to accommodate or provide more support. Having this knowledge, makes it easier to find ways of doing more with less, so you can show up to be the mom you want.

Here's to bringing it all together so your entire family thrives.

You spend hours trying to understand your child's neurodivergent brain when waitlists are long and resources slim.

You need to know what strategies will actually be effective so you can enjoy a harmonious family life.

The search for the keys to unlocking your child's sensory needs while affirming who they are starts here.

Even if I’m setting myself up for failure, I think it’s worth trying to be a mother who delights in who her children are, in their knock-knock jokes and earnest questions.

A mother who spends less time obsessing about what will happen, or what has happened, and more time reveling in what is.

A mother who doesn’t fret over failings and slights, who realizes her worries and anxieties are just thoughts, the continuous chattering and judgment of a too-busy mind.

A mother who doesn’t worry so much about being bad or good but just recognizes that she’s both, and neither.

A mother who does her best, and for whom that is good enough, even if, in the end, her best turns out to be, simply, not bad. ”

If we join forces, you’ll be able to

recognize what is behind the behavior

We will start by getting really clear on what sensory needs are at play in your home and how to support them. Through a thorough intake interview we can start to uncover what's happening underneath the surface of the behavior.

make stronger connections

While we are figuring out the best supportive environment,  we also  focus on building stronger connections, meaning easier communication, better mutual understanding, less meltdowns and a whole lot more joy.

 FeEl confident + Empowered

Ready to be confident when you end up cornered by that judgmental family member at the next holiday gathering? How would it feel to   advocate for your child at the doctors office or IEP meeting,  and receive the support and care they need?

kind words from clients

"Ms. Johnson's explanation made so much sense of what was going on. We had a family meeting afterwards and made some big changes on how we do things. It's made some huge changes. “B” is now able to spend more time with us without having a meltdown. And she's also communicating a lot more, I think because she's not so frustrated."

—B's Mom

“In the 10 years we've been taking our daughter to special services, IEPs, therapies, etc no one has ever explained it the way you did. It makes so much sense. Thank you for sharing this with us.”

—Y's Parents

“Victoria is so good at explaining and so good at listening to people and their needs. She is able to give to give you something back that is doable and calming. We had great success working with her."

—A's Mom

"I knew that ‘sensory’ was a thing that went with her Autism diagnosis but I didn't really know what it meant or how it applied. I didn't understand the medical terminology. No one ever explained why it was important for her so I didn't really pay much attention to it.

—J's Mom

Let’s talk about the process…

STEP ONE: Complete the ALL THE DETAILS FORM

The first is an informal Google form of questions I ask parents about everyday details. The more details you provide the better. (Approx. 20-30 minutes to complete) One week to submit.

STEP TWO: COMPLETE THE SPM-2

This is a formal sensory assessment. I will send you the link personally within 2 business days of receiving the details from the above form. (Approx. 15 minutes)

STEP THREE: WAIT 2-3 DAYS

Once I've received both forms, I will review the details and send you a detailed review of the information so that you have a much better understanding of your child's specific sensory needs. This is yours to keep.

step four: Follow-up

Once I've sent the review you have one week to ask any clarifying questions you need.

Can i share the results?

Absolutely! The review is yours to use to understand and support your child. If you think their teacher or caregiver would benefit, feel free to share the information.

FAQ

IS THERE A REFUND?

There is no refund. If you made a mistake in this purchase you can email me within 24 hours to explain the situation. It will not be considered if you have begun to fill out any of the forms.

WHAT IF I DON'T AGREE WITH YOUR REVIEW?

I will do my best based on the information you provide and my years of education and clinical experience. The questionnaires are subjective to your perspective since I am not your child's OT and my review is based on that information alone. Please send me a follow-up email regarding questions or concerns you have within the allotted window of time.

WILL I LOSE ACCESS TO THE REVIEW?

No, your access does not expire. You should have the option to download. This does not replace any medical advice or serve as a diagnosis it is simply educational material for you to better understand your child's sensory needs.

DO I NEED A SEPARATE ONE FOR EACH OF MY CHILDREN?

YES. While some of the information will be duplicated between forms, much of it will be distinct to each child's specific behaviors and tendencies. You will need to book one for each child.

WHAT ARE YOUR CREDENTIALS?

I have 10 years of experience as an licensed and registered occupational therapist and countless hours of continuing education, as well as a masters degree from the top graduate program.  I have been working with children for 25 years. I love this work and I'm good at it.

I HAVE A BUSY SCHEDULE, CAN I COMPLETE THIS AT A LATER TIME?

Unfortunately no. This is a limited time offer only available for the month of March or until I reach capacity, whichever comes first. Once you receive the questionnaires you will need approximately one hour to complete the questionnaires, but it can be broken up.
